Meet the founder

Hi, I'm Aisling. I live in the west of Ireland, and YARÚ is a big pot of stew filled with all the things I've been curious about, exploring and studying over the last few years. From yoga and herbal medicine to beauty therapy, community building and natural healing, it's a coming together of many different interests.

But really, YARÚ has grown out of my own quest for healing. What started on the surface, with psoriasis, led me to ask bigger questions about what it means to feel well. Not just to soothe the skin, but to build a life that feels whole, nourishing and good to be in.

Over the last few years, I've been growing herbs, making skincare from my own garden and kitchen, and sharing my creations at markets and online. Somewhere along the way, a little idea began to grow into something bigger.

From India to Ireland

At the end of 2025, I travelled to India intending to study Ayurvedic therapies hands-on. But Mama India had other plans.

A new friend told me about his grandfather, who had started an Ayurvedic manufacturing business, so naturally, I had to go and see it.

Tucked away in the south of India, surrounded by coconut trees, the factory was set in a pollution-free zone. I was immediately drawn to the place, the people and the way the products were made. Everything was handcrafted, and the women working there were at the heart of the process.

Having spent the previous two years growing my own herbs and creating skincare from scratch, I felt an immediate connection. Here was an opportunity to bring together the products I'd been making at home with the knowledge, craftsmanship and Ayurvedic traditions that had been passed down through generations.

So, I handed over my recipes. Since then, we've been scheming and plotting, formulating and playing, bringing my original creations into conversation with Ayurvedic formulations.

And that's how YARÚ began: with a little Irish kitchen, a journey to India, and a shared desire to make good Ayurvedic products available in Ireland.
